Three Ways to Check Your Rite Aid Balance

- In-store — Rite Aid stores have all closed following liquidation. Previously, any cashier could scan the card at the register to show the remaining balance.
Where to Buy Rite Aid Gift Cards
Rite Aid gift cards were sold only in Rite Aid pharmacy locations (physical cards at the register or gift card racks). They were not sold on the brand's website for direct purchase in most cases.
The entire Rite Aid retail chain closed all remaining stores by October 2025 after its second bankruptcy filing.
Secondary or reseller marketplaces sometimes listed discounted cards while stores were open, but new official cards are no longer available.
Amazon does not currently offer legitimate Rite Aid-branded store gift cards.
Terms & Expiration Notes
Cards had no expiration date and no fees under original terms. They were single-load only, redeemable solely at participating Rite Aid locations for merchandise (not online, not for lottery/money orders/other gift cards, and not for cash except where state law required for small balances). After the May 2025 Chapter 11 filing, Rite Aid stopped honoring gift cards after approximately June 5, 2025. All stores later closed and the company liquidated; remaining balances became unredeemable (possible bankruptcy claims process for unused value via the claims agent, but cards themselves have no ongoing retail value).
