Real prices, checked at the time of writing

Every product price shown on this site is checked directly against its live Amazon listing, not pulled from memory or an old spreadsheet. Prices change constantly, so treat the price shown as accurate as of the date on the article, not a guarantee — always confirm the final price on Amazon before buying.

Real ratings, not invented ones

Where you see a star rating, it is the product's actual current Amazon customer rating, checked the same way as the price. We do not estimate or round up ratings to make a product look better.

What we actually weigh

• Fit — how well the gift matches the stated recipient, occasion, and budget, not just whether it's popular in general.
• Usefulness — whether it solves a real need or upgrades something the recipient already uses, rather than looking nice and getting shelved.
• Value across budgets — every guide is organized by price tier so a $10 gift and a $50 gift are judged on their own terms, not against each other.
• Honesty — if a pick has a real drawback (a smaller size, a learning curve, a cheaper build), we say so in the writeup instead of only listing positives.

Gift card balance-check pages

For balance-check pages specifically, we hold official balance-check URLs and phone numbers to a stricter standard than product picks: that information is only published once it has been verified against the brand's own official site. If we could not confidently verify it, we leave the field blank rather than publish a guess — a wrong phone number or broken link does real harm to someone trying to use a gift card, and we would rather show nothing than show something wrong.
