Terms & Expiration Notes
Cards are generally valid for 12 months from the purchase date (Quebec cards typically do not expire). They redeem only for full-price Individual Premium months, not Family, Duo, Student, Basic, trials, or add-ons. You can stack up to 18 months of Premium time. Cards are single-use for the full value, have no cash value except where required by law, and the account country/region must match the card’s purchase country. Retail cards must be activated at the register.

A few common reasons: the card hasn't been activated yet, the funds have already been spent, the card was reported lost or deactivated, or — less commonly — the card was compromised before you got to use it.
